Student Homestay Information
You will be living in New Zealand in a homestay situation as a member of the family. This is an ideal learning experience as it gives you the opportunity to experience family life and to learn about another culture while improving your English Language.
In order to gain maximum benefit from your stay you need to get involved in as many family activities, outings etc. as possible and avoid too much contact with other speakers of your own language or too much isolation in your room.
Homestays are carefully checked beforehand to ensure the home is safe, happy, friendly and supportive, and that you will be given the best care possible. Where possible, interests of students and homestay families will be matched.
Homestay accommodation includes the following: A fully furnished single room, all meals, all linen and bedding requirements, laundry.
Payment
All homestay fees MUST be paid in advance.
In the event of any period of absence from the homestay, providing that the necessary arrangements have been made and the coordinator notified at least 1 week in advance, you will be expected to pay only a retaining fee for the time away.
