Te Oranga Reo

Te Oranga Reo is our Papakura High School bi-lingual unit.

Students in Te Oranga Reo combine integrated instruction in Te Reo, Tikanga ā Iwi, Hangarau and Te Ao Haka alongside mainstream auraki subjects. The focus is on empowering students to stand in their mana as young Rangatira Māori.

Te Oranga Reo provides a bilingual pathway for students who may come from a bilingual or immersion background in primary school, or who are passionate about learning Te Reo me ōna Tikanga Māori.

Entry is by application only and requires an interview with the Head of Te Oranga Reo. A commitment from both the tauira and their whānau is required to support the kaupapa.
