We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide) to join our team working with a select group of students at Te Aoatea alternative education provider in Papakura.
The successful applicant will have a passion for working with young people and have strong cultural competency to be relevant to our Māori and Pasifika students.
They will have a strong belief in the ability of our students to succeed.
Previous experience working in a high equity index school or similar, or with disengaged students in another context would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum would be an advantage but is not a requirement for the position.
This is a permanent, part time position, 35 hours per week, term time only, to commence as soon as possible.
An offer of appointment will remain conditional until the successful applicant has returned a satisfactory Police Vetting check.
